Woman in the outdoors

It’s time to stop pretending everything is fine.

You’re not alone if you’re dreading work tomorrow. It's not just you that avoids doing stuff you know should be doing, or secretly feels like a failure or a fraud. You’re not the only one sacrificing your life outside of work.

You’re not broken. You don’t need fixing.

You’re human.

You can feel relaxed and excited again.

Reflective Rebels offers the space you need for change. Change that feels good, to you.

That might be seeing your daughter’s football match now your business doesn’t depend on you, landing your dream client because you found a way to do things that terrify you, or rediscovering time for things that bring you joy, like reading a book or walking in the woods.

The Reflective Rebels difference.

Let’s be clear. This isn’t about following some  guru’s advice, 'magic fixes' or high-performance corporate bullshit.

It's about how different life can be when you have someone to talk to who gets it. It's about reflecting deeply about who you are, and what you want

Through coaching and gatherings in Cumbria, Reflective Rebels will help you focus on what is possible, do the stuff that is hard, and be kinder to yourself.

My story.

I’m Ben – coach and founder of Reflective Rebels.

Reflective Rebels has grown out of real-life highs and lows: building my business, Alterline, from the kitchen table into a thriving insight agency, navigating the emotional rollercoaster of leadership, and hitting burnout in 2015.

There are a lot of ‘coaches’ out there, so here’s what you should know about me:

  • I hold an ILM Level 7 Executive Coaching and Mentoring qualification, the highest available.

  • I've run my own business for over 14 years, so I get it.

  • I don't have a corporate background, and I don't have any 'advice' for you.

  • Instead, my work is about truly listening, asking the right questions, and helping you discover your own path to clarity and confidence.

I have not only overcome challenges but I have understood the reasons why my brain does certain things, it’s been huge for me.

The main thing I have gained is Clarity. Clarity in my vision. Clarity on who I am as a leader. And clarity on my goals. It’s been invaluable.

I have discovered a new confidence in my ability to meet challenges at work. Ben has enabled me to understand myself and my motivations better, which has led to me developing a completely new set of skills.

His support, careful questioning and reflective approach has helped me to become a better manager and a more thoughtful practitioner. It has not been easy, and he has made me work hard, but what a difference he has made!!

Ben 'gets' me and helps me see things that are right in front of me but I can't always see. He has developed my self belief and confidence in my abilities and has helped steer OMG into a new and exciting phase of growth.

The Manifesto.

We’re done pretending everything’s fine. The Reflective Rebels Manifesto sets out the purpose behind our quiet rebellion.

We’ve followed the rules. Chased the goals. Worn the masks. And still felt empty.

We’ve been told to lead with certainty. To keep things professional. To push through the discomfort. To measure our worth in output, hustle, and titles. And honestly? It’s exhausting.

We’re not buying it anymore.

We want more than coping.

We want clarity, calm, and a life that feels like ours.
